#9A/CS1 Cover

Things to do today answer all questions on your CS Blog.

#9P6 Winners Takes All Logo T2D

Logo Design Log needs to show:


  • The tools you have used to make it Print Screen of Fireworks or Illustrator
  • Show your Logo in at least three colours
  • Show your Logo in a single colour RED, BLUE, YELLOW etc without a black outline!
  • Show me your Logo small and  Large
  • Put your logo on a shirt or a building

CS - CPU Research in to a Movie

The CPU is the component that does most of the processing in a computer make a movie using either Movie Maker or Premier Pro to teach a Year 11 class about CPU's


  • State five tasks that are carried out by the CPU?
  • Explain how the clock speed and the cache size affects its performance
  • How can CPU's be damaged and what can you do to protect them?
  • Talk about how CPUs have developed over time.
  • What are the next steps happening in CPU development
  • If you were purchasing a CPU for a school which would you chose and why?
  • If you were purchasing a CPU for a Music Production Company which would you chose and why?
  • If you were purchasing a CPU for an online Gamer which would you chose and why?

On a Mission - Design It

You must produce a set of designs for your game that are detailed enough for others to visualise the finished product.

These designs should include:
  • all general rules for the game
  • specific rules for each level or scene
  • a storyboard for each level or scene
  • methods of navigation and control
  • anything else you think is important.
Evidence Create your designs for the game.

Ask game testers for feedback on your designs and make changes if necessary.

PACKAGING BUILD

 

You must take photos which show how your packaging will look. You will need these for your digital advert and flyer.

Task to be done Print your packaging design in colour.

Task to be done Assemble your packaging, taking photos to show:
  • the complete packaging with the top open
  • the complete packaging with the top closed
Task to be done Get feedback from test users and take more photos if necessary.
You need to save this for your eportfolio Save your photos in your EVIDENCE folder.
Update your elements table and design log.
Update your ongoing plan.

PACKAGING DESIGN

The packaging design must relate to the style of the shop and include:
  • a photomontage to cover the outside of the packaging
  • the logo
  • the shop name
Create the surface design for your packaging. Remember you must comply with copyright.

Get feedback from test users and make changes if necessary.
You need to save this for your eportfolio Save your complete packaging design in your PRODUCTS folder.
Update your elements table and design log.
Update your ongoing plan.

PACKAGING NET

You must design flat-pack cardboard packaging for a takeaway meal. The packaging must close securely without using glue or other fixings. It must be possible to make it from one net.

The net must:
  • be drawn accurately
  • show cut lines and folds
  • fold to make the complete packaging
Produce the net for the packaging using only vector tools. Remember you must comply with copyright.

Get feedback from test users and make changes if necessary.
You need to save this for your eportfolio Save your packaging net in your EVIDENCE folder.
Update your elements table and design log.
Update your ongoing plan.
